As we begin a New Year, here at All Weather Roofers of Cleveland, we are taking a moment to reflect on how Cleveland, Ohio, roofing has changed due to Covid-19.

The global pandemic has given us pause as we interact with others, and commercial roofers as well as residential roofers are no exception.

The Roofing Industry Responds

“The rise of the Covid-19 crisis has led to countries’ lockdowns and restrictions to curb the spread of the deadly virus,” states Business Partner Magazine in an article titled “New Roofing Technology Trends to Watch in 2021.”

“However, there have been significant changes and advances in technology that affect how you will view commercial real estate in 2021. The primary sector that has seen technological advancements is roofing techniques, construction, and maintenance. There has been the development of roofing software to enhance roofing services,” they say.

The development of roofing software to enhance roofing services lies within the corporate realm of Cleveland roofing contractors and their services, but we as consumers are the ones benefiting from it. Here are two examples:

  • Fewer face-to-face encounters. Measurements can be ascertained remotely for almost any building in the area.
  • Contactless payment. Funds can be transferred directly to a commercial-roofing company or a residential-roofing company

Maintaining our social distance has been more important than ever in 2020, and it looks like that practice is going to continue in 2021. Logistics aside, however, there are changes of the emotional, mental and physiological kind taking place in Cleveland’s roof restoration business that are a sign of the tumultuous times.

“We’re definitely seeing a desire for serene, calming colors that reflect a sense of peace, security and grounding,” Metal Roofing Alliance Executive Director Renee Ramey says in a press release. “After the turmoil of 2020, it’s no wonder homeowners are gravitating toward harmonious, warm and soothing earth tone colors that feel both solid and natural.”

The global pandemic has brought about many a disruption in our daily lives, including the critical need to be both diligent and vigilant in staying healthy by washing our hands, covering our coughs, practicing social distancing and wearing face masks in public.

Fortunately, there is now light at the end of the tunnel.

That doesn’t mean residential and commercial roofing in Cleveland will go back to the way things were before. For information about how All Weather Roofing, Cleveland’s roofing experts, are responding to the pandemic, call 440-888-7931.
